i've asked a simial question but ppl kept tellin me ta get a prepaid. i've had several but i'd put over $100 into them a month n alltel cost me almost $90 a month....any suggestions?

Depending on where you are...if you're in a city, you probably will have more choices.
They have a variety of prepaid services:
Tracfone (I have one, and they quit working if ya outta the city sometimes)
Alltel
Sprint
Cingular
TMobile
Verizon
Check with their websites or give em a call, see if they have plans that don't require a credit check.
Or, you can find a co-signer on a montly plan.

Do you have Cricket in your area? They just started offering service in my city. They're not prepaid and they don't do a credit check. Check out there site www.mycriket.com. It will tell you if it's in your area or if it will becoming soon.
