Adult sites, but I'm scared to death of getting a virus. But everyone is telling me "Mac's don't have a virus, they can't get viruses."
Basically, I'm worried that if I visit some of these sites, I could get a virus or whatever that will slow my computer down conspicously, or show evidence of me visiting these sites. I'm wondering if I have anything TO be afraid of.
Just how virus capable ARE MacBook's?

Though Macs have a much less chance of getting a virus than a Windows, a Mac can still get a virus. If you visit a virus infected site, you could get the virus.

Get yourself a good Anti virus program like Norton or McAfee. All you need is anti virus and a fire wall to get you going. Ask some friends, maybe they've got a disc you can borrow and load. most discs can give you up to one year free then you have to pay a subscription to down load the updates. If you have high speed Internet then you can pay and download. Pay the money because once you get a virus it's more bother than its worth to get rid of it. check out this link http://www.mcafee.com

there are some free ones on the net but i woulnt take take the chance............good luck
