shyeah. I just turned in a bunch of coins (mostly pennies) that I've been saving since I was six. I got $21 which I promptly spent on sweet treats. I thought it was funny because that's exactly what I didn't spend it on when I was a kid.

Yes, heads up or heads down, it makes no difference. "A penny saved is a penny earned and for a good cause!"

One year my brother stopped and picked up all of the pennies in the changing room in the factory where he worked, and at the end of the year, when he rolled them up he had almost $90! I have always picked up pennies. Every little bit counts!

Yes I would and while picking the penny up from the pavement, I would say "Pennies from Heaven" or "Today is my Lucky Day."

I wouldn't pick up a penny from the bottom of a stagnant puddle or if it was lying in mud or stuck to gum or anything, but if it was easily accessible and not too dirty, sure, why not?

in U.S. treasury, they say 6 million dollars a year is wasted in lost penny's. I most of the time pick them up. If it was right in front of me. If I see it way out there a few feet. naaaah, not worth the work.

Sure, why not? It's a penny right? you can keep it, not like a hundred dollar bill where you have to take it to the lost and found.

Yes, because I almost ALWAYS pick them up when I see them.

See a penny, pick it up..
