do you have an onion?
rubbing an onion slice directly on your bite will provide a very powerful antioxidant treatment!
since you are hunting in the alternative meds. department, I'll go ahead and add that if you want the mosquitoes to love you just a little bit less...
thiamine and vitamin B both are excreted through the skin if you take the supplements regularly and it really offends those little buzzing blood suckers.
also swimming in a pool coats your skin in chlorine and they don't care for that either. if you don't have a pool and are willing to try it, add 1 cup of bleach to a tub of water and take a little bath.
try it!

Yeah. You take like a tablespoon of baking soda and mix it with a few drops of water, make it like a paste...then rub it on to the bites. It cools them down and stops the itching for a little while.

I usually use ice packs to numb the area. But I have heard of an age old remedy of making a paste of smashed aspirin and a little water and putting it on the bites. It works!

Try buying some aloe vera gel that contains lidocaine in it. It took the pain out of the bites in a couple of days.

During the summer when I get bit if I jump in the pool the itching stops. Maybe it's the chlorine water.

If you don't have Calamine lotion, make a paste from baking soda and lotion any kind will do and apply on the bite. It helps my daughter all the time.

Use Ice. Put ice on it until its numb...it probably won't itch again. You can also put hands/arms and feet/legs in very cold or ice water until it stops itching.

I just learned this trick today, and it really does take the itch out in minutes. Dab some rubbing alcohol on the bite. If you do not have rubbing alcohol, use vinegar.
