Aveeno. Its the best, it contains oatmeal which is really good for sensitive skin. Plus try using Jhonsons baby oil on on wet skin as this helps to seal in moisture, then use the Aveeno after. Works well on my baby. Eucerin and Aquaphor are also good but v. expensive!

My 5 1/2 month son had bad skin from birth and was diagnosed with eczema. Best thing to do is to stop using scented anything. It has taken me a while to get everything under Control, you have to work out a routine that works for your baby, ive learned as ive gone along by changing things and seeing if they make a difference. First change your washing powder to a non bio is you are using biological, i now use a eco non bio powder now see if that makes a difference, also at first i didn't know that fabric softeners are bad for eczema skin so top using them if you do. Second do not use any bubble bath, shampoo or body wash on your baby. My doctor told me just to wash him in water and i also add an emollient (oilatum junior) which the doctor prescribed, i bought all the eczema shampoo etc.. but they are still bad. Sounds crazy not washing your baby with soap but trust me he doesn't smell. I also rub a emollient cream (cetraben) into him twice a day, morning and night. It is amazing what a small few changes can make, his skin is beautiful now i really cant believe it. I have a steroid cream which i only if he gets a really bad patch. I am in the uk, i am sure you must be able to get items in US. Good luck

My sons' pediatrician recommends bathing babies with Dove sensitive skin (bar) soap (white box with light green label), and if needed, using either Lubriderm Seriously Sensitive lotion or eucarin.
Both of my boys have incredibly sensitive skin (even now at 29 months and 13 months) and we still use this. The only drawback is when you wash them with the soap, unlike most baby products, it is NOT tear free, so be especially careful when you wash their hair and the bubbles might run down in their eyes if you're not fast enough rinsing it!

There are all kinds of lotions in the baby isle that is all for senitive skin.
I can tell you this though.
My seven year old son still get lotioned down with johnsons lotions. He has highly sensitive skin. I have to use the same kind of soap and not change it. I wash his clothes in tide...He washes his body with dove soap for sensitive skin (what am i going to do with him when her finds out that is for girls?) he can't wear sunscreen because he is allergic.
I can go on forever with this one.
My daughter on the other hand i can use anything on her and it not affect her. With her i use grins and giggles I think it is from gerber. But i also use the johnsons on her. it just depends on how i want her to smell.
who ever told you johnson's is no good... they could have had issues with their child and prefer not to use it or just don't like johnson's but they are all the same. find what you like to use and stick with it.
Good luck and congrats

It depends what is wrong. If it is just a bit of dry skin, try Grins and Giggles lotion. if the skin is really dry, Aveeno makes a product for babies. By the way, though, I never heard there was anything wrong with J and J. I just like Grins and Giggles because they have such beautiful scent choices.

It may not be the lotion. My son had very sesitive skin as a baby. The pediatrician asked if I was using the Johnson and Johnson liquid soap. And sure enough i was. She said try using Johnson and Johnson bar soap, that the liquid was drying out the skin and the bar will moisturize. I did get the bar soap and tried it, worked like a miracle and the fragrance is sweet.

Try this Mustela. My babies' skin is so sensitive and he has ecezema and this is wonderful! It's a little expensive but his skin has improved. The baby wash is also great.

My sons have eczema. As babies we used Wedela's calendula baby cream and oil. It works for sensitive skin and you'll love the natrual scent of this one!

The Johnson and Johnson made my babies skin dry. Now we use Aveeno and my baby's skin is very soft and smooth. Funny, since Aveeno is a Johnson and Johnson product.
