I do not run a global company, just a local one in the city. My office, and my factory is not in a poverty-stricken area.
I still want to fulfill my obligation.

Pay fair wages. go to compassion Canada and have an office sponsor a few children. Donate things to Operation Christmas Child. Buy only *Fair Trade* products for your office. Adopt a village. Or a school in a third world country (contact World Vision for ideas). Raise money to give to Habitat for Humanity in the States. Better yet, ask your employees wha mark you, as an office can leave on the world. It may not be big, but whatever God is there will certainly remember it. You are fantastic.

Good for you! Give to well known agencies (United Way) only. Contribute to the homeless shelter in your city or donate through a local church.
Example: Volunteer to pay for 1 hour per month for employees to volunteer through United Way. Volunteer for Thanksgiving and Christmas for needy families.
Business contributions are tax deductible.

hire people at a livable wage---give benefits--give a portion of the profits you make to a organization that helps the poor. If every man/woman would just ask the question you did--the world would be sooo much better off! EVERY ONE OF US CAN AT LEAST MAKE A DIFFERANCE LOCALLY! act locally-think globally!
