Pornography- what do you think about it?

Question

Is it too prevalent? Is it just harmless fun? Does it objectify women, when they are willing volunteers and making millions from the industry? Where do you draw the line between this and third-wave feminism?
Answers to any or all of these questions are appreciated.

Porn can be as addictive as any drug. It also changes your mind as to how reality works. Just like TV.
If you watch porn all the time, you are going to wonder why the pizza delivery girl didn't jump your bones when you answered the door naked. :-)

Pornography, it serves its purpose, too prevalent not at all. ( that is too say I myself am not bombarded with it) Harmless fun? Depends all on the individual! It does objectify women to a certain extent, but women pose! They do make millions! As a matter of fact I myself would pose, it is good money!Feminism is what got most of us women in the mess they are in today! I am not a fan. At all.

I love to watch porn with my bf. I encourage him to look at it on the internet and I take him with me when i go to the adult store. I dont think it objectifies women at all because those women put themselves on there. So did the guys. There was no forcing them to do it and really the only difference between what they are doing on the screen and what you do at home is that they get paid GOOD for it. (except they also sleep with tons of people).

I say if someone doesnt like it, they shouldnt watch it. I also say dont complain unless it can directly affect you in some way. It is harmless, and educational. you can learn a lot and your partner would thank you (well some at least) if you make your bedtime routines spicier.

I personally see nothing wrong with it. My fiance and I enjoy it from time to time so I guess it would fall into the idea of "harmless fun."
As for how prevalent it is, I think its not bad. What is totally out of control is how skimpy and sl*tty looking women can dress these days, yet they b*tch about porn? Excuse me? Some women walk around almost naked and then have the guts to say porn is wrong?
As for objectifying women, I dont think so. Its more common for women to be the center of porn than men because men are the sex that looks at (watches) porn more often.

to each his/her own i say. pornography is only prevalent if you are looking for it. if you don't want to see porn then don't watch it. don't look at the websites. i don't think it's objectification if they are willing participants. if no one forces them in or out then it is their choice and their right to work there if they so choose.
and by the way, very few women make millions in the porn industry. there's a handful at the top and the rest make no more than you or i.
i don't really equate it with feminism other than to say that these women are making these choices with less stigma attached than before. some of them are even becoming serious business persons within the industry.

Do you realize that most women are agains pornography. And most men are. But what kind of porno- do the men look at? FEMALES, thats whos. So, there has to be at least a couple of woman that think being naked on camera is okay. Maybe they want fame, money, or to make it though college. Who knows why? All I know is that is is a Trillion dollar industry and they are still making money. So... Pro-Choice for women on this issue.

I think that every peron that is in pornography was offered a chance and they took it. it is there own fault, if they are upset about it later, there is nothing they can do about it.

well if you dont get any action yourself then I guess its alright to watch it...but if you get it at home...why watch it on tv when it is fake anyway!
