The keypad lights up but I think the keypad has taken in the water and has shorted. I have tried drying it out but it's no good. Please help!

I wouldn't bother fixing it. You can try to let it dry out, but if it doesn't work, I wouldn't pay anyone to fix it or buy a new RAZR. Everyone I know who had one, had it mess up on them. My brother's had a warranty on it, so they've had to replace it; but he got it in March and has already had FOUR of them since. If you wouldn't have spilt water on it, I'd give it a month before it screwed up anyway.

Umm lets try to keep it out of the water but if you have cingular or verizon than take it to the store and have them look at it. If they cant fix it than they can replace it for free if you have insurance. And if you dont have insurance, and you have to get a new phone I reccomend just buying the insurance because you never know what could happen.

The RAZR is one of the thinnest phones on the market, with a great deal of circuitry packed into that thin body. even a small amount of water getting into that circuitry when the phone is powered is like a death sentence. I hate to tell you but your phone is as good as dead, amigo.

there is no fixing that. try letting it dry without the battery for a couple of days but the possibility of the phone working again is less than probable

You can try removing the battery and let it dry,or you can try open up the whole phone using your hands and some normal tools, since its spoil its worth the risk

Take it to the retailer or carrier you got it from with a receipt and all important info. they could send it to the company (Motorola) to get it fixed but expect a fancy price!!!!$$$$$$ Hope you gotta warranty!

Once you've turned it on, forget about it. You might have had a chance to dry it out if it had been off at the time.

The worst thing you can do to electronics is to get them wet. I'm sorry to say but you have fried your phone. I would take the phone back to the dealer and see what he can do for you, but most likely the circuit board is most likely dead.
