What should the consciencious citizens of India do?
Where is all this headed?
Do you think the Empire needs to be halted in its murderous stride or do you feel yourself to be an ally of US and are happy about it? or do you don't care at all?
While one lakh fifty thousand marched against the war in England, in Delhi there was a small demonstration of some hundred socialites!! So much for our "civil society"!!!
Government seems to suggest that Israel and US are our allies and we must keep mum over whatever they do because we will lose on the sops!
After all they have also promised us that we are likely to be given status "global power" soon (despite our hungry masses!) Has India finally made it out of being a third world country with a colonial hangover to be on the side of the Empire??? Have we become pro colonialism as long as it is happening to others???

My personal view is that the wars on Lebanon & Iraq are absolutely unfair.
I am not speaking so bcoz I am an Indian; but rather as a human being. Our govt. is simply following the man who appears stronger & is capable of victory in today's world.
And, after reading the comments of "I DON'T KNOW" , India appears like a slave , illiterate & uncivilized. Eventhough I agree there are people in India who are illiterate, I attribute the comments of the aforesaid to be production of a brain that is devoid of the knowledge of others living in this world & his pure arrogance.
Frankly speaking, I don't know what a common Indian citizen can do to combat such wars. I do expect wars on Iran & North Korea in the near future. I beleive the Indian govt. will remain quiet on those indispensible occassions too. But the question arises as to what will our govt. do when Indian herself will be the victim.

regrettably the united stateshas a habit of preemptive strikes which signifies that the first area of the question does no longer practice to this warfare. the united statesbegan this warfare with out any negotiations with U.N or anybody. The warfare of Terror is particularly about domination of the middle East for Israeli pastimes. With that still comes loose oil for the U.S. quickly the Iraqis can might want to apply US companies for reconstruction with borrowed funds from IMF and international economic company. Then contained in the destiny they ought to pay the money back with pastime (which inserts to US) and hence destiny Iraq will be in debt continuously with US being rewarding continuously. the united stateshopes to fully destabilize middle East with the aid of causing a rift between Shiites and Sunnis. regrettably their secretly planted bombings of each and every others shrines were operating rather good. It also hopes to confirm an eternal militia base to take care of Israel at the same time as it is going about destroying Palestine. hence pulling out now would not benefit those targets.

Well, as being an ally of any country goes, it is only for the time being. We have been allies with Britain for a long time. But if they start siding with "the bad guys", good bye ally. Simple example, just trying to make a point.
I hope for your countries sake (and starving people), you jump on the capitalism band wagon. Money makes the world go around.

Israel was attacked and it's soldiers killed and 2 were kidnapped. They asked for the soldiers back but Hezbollah and the Lebanese government refused.
India would have done the same thing if Pakistan had done that to India.

I am american and I consider India to be a close US ally and a model democratic country in which Christians and Muslims manage to co-exsist.
As for lebanon and iraq,
Israel is fighting Hezboulla Terrorists (not all of lebanon) to stop Hezboulla and other muslim terrorists who aren't willing to co-exsist together.
The US and GB are fighting terrorists (not Iraqis) to stop terrorists who aren't willing to co-exsist together with the west.

I read some answers given by different people But you know I say That this Lebanon Isreal issue is between them and and when both the parties are stubborn and not giving a change for peace to sneak through between them. We dont need to talk about them cos you know people dont ussualy like strangers or outsiders poking their nose into their personal problems so we better keep quite and let Isreal and Lebanon realise that war is not the solution and I believe they will realise that war is bad and the whole world will learn a lesson from them SO I SAY ! PEOPLE DONT POKE YOUR NOSE INTO OTHER'S MATTER TO MAKE IT MORE WORSE LET THEM DEAL THEIR PROBLEMS BY THEMSELF AND LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES.

India is one of the luckier nations to have been colonized, the British actually left some infrastructure. Try living in Madagascar.

you obviously need to get in touch with reality.
I know in India you are uneducated but if that is the case please refrain from commenting on complex subjects that you can not possibly understand. Just keep feeding your temple rats and know that all will be well in the world. Leave it to us!
