I believe he's supposed to be the 'king' of the 10 nation confederacy. I thought I heard that he was from Magog, but I could be wrong. It's been awhile. Then again, the Jews are in every nation. So yeah, it's possible. But then why would he turn against Israel halfway through the 7 year period?

I don't believe he will be Jewish. Daniel and Revelation don't say that specifically, but the area he is supposed to come from is not a Jewish nation.
But anything is possible.
