Bringing a life into the world for reasons based on love and hope can't possibly be immoral! Plus, surrogacy is great because the process involves much planning and preparation, which means the people doing it are very much wanting to be parents. The child born to that surrogacy situation pretty much has it made - being loved, being well-planned, and having people who want him or her. Immoral to me is the people who try to say surrogacy or other ways of having families is bad, but those same people are not willing to foster/adopt the children in the world who need a loving home. Don't let judgemental people influence you...only supportive, rational ones!

I think surrogacy is a great way to have a family.
I have done 2 egg donations to help others have a family.
I have done 1 surrogacy..the baby is now 18 months old and I see her all the time. We are currently working on baby number 2. We are all thrilled about the results and what a close relationship we have.

No, it's a definitely an option for women who are unable to get pregnant and really want a baby. It's just very important that the surrogate mother understands that it's not her baby. The danger comes if the surrogate mom gets attached and does not want to give up her baby.
I do think that surrogacy is kind of silly when there are so many unwanted children just waiting for adoption.

Absolutely not. But there are an awful lot of unwanted and uncherished kids out there. I'd want to adopt one before I considered surrogacy. And yes I think that the surrogate mother should be paid for her "service". And handsomely. It's a life changing experience. I'd totally do it for someone.

It would be better to adopt. The immoral part is to the surrogate mother as she bonds with the baby inside her and she suffers after giving the baby to the waiting parents. It would be an awful thing to have to endure.

How could giving life and happiness be immoral? Instead of listening to religious and political crap listen to your heart. All god wants is for us to be kind, giving and happy. there are no rules, just be a good person and that's all that matters

Not at all. If woman wants a baby and is unable to carry the baby to term, then a surrogate mother is a great thing. The woman volunteers to be the surrogate, it's not like they force her to carry their child and she is also compensated for her time. I don't see how it could be anything but a good thing.

It depends on the situation. If it feels 'wrong' in the heart of one involved in such a situation, then it IS wrong. I think going against your heart and giving a baby away for financial gain is wrong. But if it feels totally right and its done FROM the heart and not only for financial gain, then it's very right. Just depends on the people involved.
