I believe the founding fathers would puke if they saw where our country is right now. We have fixed elections, an uneducated populace, we've wrongly attacked another nation, lobbyists and corporate interests have corrupted our legislature, and the media has run amok. I have read the Federalist Papers, the Articles of Confederation, The Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights ... and the Patriot Act. Believe me, that last one is proof that a true American is a rare creature indeed.

Real Americans don't hide in the closet, they are proud of their country and show it. They wave the flag, sing the Star Spangled Banner, stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance, and honor our troops whether we think the war is right or not. Are you an American, or something else?

what is it to be a "real" american? i was born here. im a citizen. does a real american wave the flag? does he support everything his government does? does he follow his leaders blind into battle? oh wait our leaders don't lead the front anymore. does a real american go out and buy everything he sees on tv because he thinks he "needs" it. if thats the case i guess im not a "real" americacn.

Yes, and we are all ashamed of that idiotic fool that's the president. As a result, all REAL AMERICANS are going to vote DEMOCRATIC this fall and in 2008 and get rid of the psycho Conservative right wing and their warmongering policies.
