I spotted during the week of my period a brownish discharge...I took a test and it was negetive after 4 days of the spotting. I am having breast tenderness and I need a nap everyday!!! I stopped taking my pill 4 days ago in fear I really am pregnant...and I still havent gotten a period. Usually when you miss a pill or two you start your period. What is up??? Im due for a period next week. Shouldnt tests come up postivie by now if I am?

Sometimes when you are fixing to start your period you spot with a brownish color. Birth control can cause your breast to be tender. Breast tenderness can be from drinking to much caffeine. Some pregnancy tests will not show you are pregnant until your are a few weeks. They do not register because your count is not high enough. Look on the pregnancy test and see how far you have to be before it registers. If you did get a test that works very quickly then it is probably just your period. You can be very tired also when you are fixing to start. Remember always use a condom when you have sex even though you are on the pill. It is double protection.

Tests are 53% effective 4 days before your missed period. You tested too early, and many things can contribute to this. Stress, missing the pills itself, and a pending menstruation. Try waiting until you get your period next week, if it comes... retake a test on the day before at the earliest. It is 87% effective the day before you miss.

No, You probably will not get a positive test until the 5th day after your missed period make sure you take it in the morning with your first morning urine the (HCG) hormone will be at it's highest if you are pregnant. If your really think you are pregnant I would not take the pill until you know fir sure but abstain from sex or use condom and ?spremaside? just in case you are not pregnant. Good Luck!

Give it another week. Most pregnancy tests can tell when you've really missed your period, but not many can tell accurately before then.

Make sure that when you take the next one, you use first-morning-urine, which will have the highest concentration of the hormones that the test would be looking for.

Good luck!

It may take a little longer for tests to come up positive. Blood tests can show pretty early on though and give you HCG levels, if you can get to a doctor that would be the best option!

would it be so horrible if you were pregnant? i mean nobody is ever really ready but pregnancy and motherhood is a truly beautiful experience. i agree with previous answers in that you should test again in a week or so. i just thought i would let you know not to be frightened, pregnancy isn't the end of the world, it is only the beginning.

Thats sounds like you've miscarried. Many women miscarry before they even know that they are pregnant (almost every woman has done it at one point in time or another) starting your pills again could have caused it, but don't worry it's very normal.

Go to the doctor and get a blood test. You can also have this done at Planned Parenthood.

Try to take another pregnacy test. If it comes up negative again, you might want to see a doctor, just to see what is going on.
