What is there to do around Richmond,VA that does not involve alot of money other than movies, eating and shop?

I was there for 6 months in an intership. I joined the local YMCA (there are a bunch). there was always lots of stuff happening there that was pretty inexpensive or free. There are also some museams downtown that are pretty interesting, though they are nothing compared to the smithsonians a couple hours north in DC

I heard inbreeding is pretty popular out there, and its affordable too.
