Probably not. Plus you're going to loose files and programs. Go to http://TrendMicro.com to scan your computer if you can. If that doesn't work take it to GeekSquad. Tell them, and get it on the invoice, ot to delete programs or files.
Good luck.

Generally no. Most virus removeals will have to happen with "System Restore" turned off. Try AVG its a decent free antivirus, or if you know what your infection is Symantec will list detailed removeal instructions on their website

visit www.grisoft.com and download the free version of AVG antivirus first of all.
Secondly, it CAN in some instances, but not all.
I'd recommend turning off system restore and deleting all of your restore points because the virus is probably embedded in your restore points too, then running a full virus scan, get rid of the virus, and turn system restore back on.

No. It will not clean up the infection. It would be better if you had a powerful antivirus or an antispy to fight against all the infections.
And there may be a chance for data loss with system restore.
So I strongly suggest against it.
Good luck.

No. To clear up a virus, you must use an ANTIVIRUS.
There are lots you can download.
You can try AVG from http://www.grisoft.com
or AVAST from http://www.avast.com
Run them to clear up the virus. Restoring will not do any good when it comes to viruses.
