During pregnancy I always had some discharge after intercourse with my husband. I also had some cramping throughout pregnancy as my uterus grew.
I would not be concerned as long as the pain is not severe and as long as the discharge is not bright red or heavy.
Your blood volume increases by 50% during pregnancy and the cervix is more tender and soft. Later on in pregnancy you might also notice this pinkish discharge after your OB does an exam.

i am 11 weeks and i had smililar spotting yesterday although not after sex. i also felt like i was about to have a period that didnt come. After taking 3 years to fall pregnant in the first place i flipped out and went to the DR and even she thought it might be a miscarriage. I went for an ultrasound later in the day and everything was fine - i saw my little baby and its beating heart - it was the most amazing thing i have ever seen.
i would check with your Dr for peace of mind but your story has been repeated on answers many times over - do a search on the word spotting and you will see how many other women have freaked out about the same thing. Congrats on the baby.

the blood you are having can be due to the fact of torning the hymen again and this is normal in case of first pregnancy. about the cramps this should stop after a while and can also be normal in some women.
however if the bleeding and the cramps start to increase this can be serious and you should go directly to the ER because you might have complications (premature labor for example)
hoping that all of this is normal...
and take care

Unless you continue bleeding hours after intercousre everything should be fine. Also if you notice that after sex it is a more heavy or darker bleeding, you might want to go see a doctor just to make sure everything is going ok. It can be scary at any sight of blood when you are pegnant for the first time, but its ok. It is better to be cautious then to just let it go. Congrats on the baby!!!

Yep. I am 4 weeks 4 days pregnant. Your cervix is tender and filled with blood, so it's normal. As long as you don't KEEP bleeding. Also the cramping is normal as long as it's not UNBEARABLE, I have that too, it's your uterus expanding... sounds early for symptoms, but it's very true. See your doctor if you have further concern with it.â¥

yeah it's totally normal to cramp......it's almost as if you're gonna get you're period cramp only you're period never comes.....I had it too...it's just your body stretching and doing it's best to start adjusting to the changes it's already undergoing....I'm 8 weeks pregnant today......I don't know when the cramping stops though and some people says it lasts awhile.......so as long as the cramps aren't too bad it's okay.....spotting is normal too as long as it isn't bright red however I didn't have any.......good luck with your pregnancy.......

It might be normal, but check with your doctor to make sure that you're not sick with something. I had bacterial vaginosis (which isn't nothing to be scared of but you still have to treat) and I had those symptoms.
