How do you define the durability of unconditional love?

ths is how i define it

I think that love is be as strong and durable as family love. NO matter what happens your may have a problem with it, though you will always love your family members. It is something that cannot be broken. Time and distance cannot break it, no one can come bewtween that love.



so when I look for true love , i try my heart on these principals.

hey man don't try so hard to find love....love is a great thing in life but it sure is not everything,, there's a lot that go's into being with someone. like commitment, and respect and compatibility, compassion and caring just to mention a few. i have been married for 21 yrs and have been to the edge and back and love was not the only thing that brought me or i mean us back from the edge. it's work, and a labor of loving each other, family is family no matter what, maybe,, but if a family member ever heart the woman i loved then family or not that's a line that no one should be able to cross not even a family member. don't blind your self with love don't use love to hold onto someone, or hold it against them either, because a man is not judged by how much he Love's but by how much he is loved by others....... love will find you when your heart is truly ready don't seek it out because you may miss it completely or mistake it for something else by looking for the right criteria you have convinced your self to look for. good luck my friend.....

PS, I believe that there's no such thing as true love, there's just love. it is the person that must be true. people need to have hope, so you must believe that there is a love out there for you, just be open to the possibility's and never be afraid to take a chance in life....

I think love is indefinite. I don't care how many times i get hurt, i pick myself up, dust off my dress and jump back in the game, because no matter how much we try to understand why someone hurt us, or how much we try to give up on love, or how much we try to forget those that we once loved, who hurt us, for some reason, the majority just loves to be in love. I don't hate anyone, even the ones that split my heart in two, now i won't deal with them anymore, but i won't hate them, because at some point in my life, they were a part of that same heart that was broken and fixed again and i can forgive, but i can't forget, though i can move on and find love again...smile Love is complicated, and it can be so bad but when it's good, it can feel sooo good and you just can't get enough of it...smile I can't define it as family love because no matter how mad i get with my family, i still love them and will always be in their lives, but in a relationship, i might always deep down love them (because true love, never dies) but i can live without them..smile That's just my take on it.

unconditional love to me means there are no expectations, no conditions, no limits. hence, you can't demand that person to do what you want them to do or to act how you want them to act. so if they choose not to be monogamous then you must be willing to accept that unconditionally. unconditional love to me is of a higher plane than that you place on a mate/spouse/partner.

familial love is strong because it is bound by blood and common ancestry. these are the people you are born into and you cannot change that.

relationship love is something you can change. you necessarily don't have to be with that person. you can choose to leave him/her at anytime. when it comes to relationships, there are expectations, limits, and sometimes conditions; it is hardly unconditional love. society makes sure of that also. society comes in and presses it's expectation on that relationship.

if you want unconditional love in a relationship, look forward to a lot of challenges every second on your principles. it's an upward battle inside and outside.

A pure definition of unconditional love (in action) can be found in 1st Corinthians 13 in the bible. So often we view love from the aspect of our emotions which is a feeling but there are different degrees of love - EROS - Physical PHILEO - Brotherly AGAPE - Unconditonal (God's Kind)

You have an excellent prospective and view of love and how to handle it. Good luck in your endeavors and your search for love, I suspect you will find it and be able to keep it which in this day and age is next to near impossible.

i agree with your vision of unconditional love it is undying no matter what and does last forever. i know i loved my ex husband he was my first love and even though he did all kinds of evil crap to me such as raping me cheating on me, marrying his mistress ect never coming to see his daughter thats just some of the crapactually some of it is a favor. Anyways i am happily remarried and shouldn't feel anything about my x but i do take pity on him and that to me is a remanent of the love i had for him because even though i don't want to ever see him again my love is transformed into pity but not gone just transformed and i can't hate him even though i should and i want to.True love does endure all things just as corinthians ch 1 verse13 says in the bible.

The only thing that destroys that sort of love is when trust is gone or a family member really never was trustworthy.

But all in all.........there is nothing as good as unconditional love.

my opinion is different, I do love my family. but I'm IN LOVE with my spouse, I think there is a difference, as far as duralblity , yes it takes work in a relationship. any thing you want realy strongly you ahve to work for it . but you know that. and family look at you differently than what a relationship does, this is just my opinion
