i was wondering if anyone knew anyone who would be willing to design a logo for free for my service project.

the project is focused toward educating 18 and 19 year olds on the political process and registering them to vote...

because of the age group i want to keep it cool/hip so if you know anyone, i would appreciate it!!!

I think going to the local high school would be a great idea. When I was in school, 16 yrs ago...uuuggghh, my art class had a project to create a new logo for a local Dentist. It was an excellent way for the students to use their advertising and creative skills and earn a grade. The Dentist still uses the logo today.

Why don't you go to the local high school and talk to the graphic arts teacher and see if she can have her students work on it as a project? I know I've seen a website where students do it for free. Type in the Search engine "website designs for free" and see what you come up with. Also check out www.vistaprint.com
They design logos and also have a place where using their art work or you upload your own artwork. Vistaprint is very, very inexpensive

Hi, perhaps you can try Google adwords to market your service/product.

Google adwords is a text-based system for advertising on its site and its partner sites. The service allows you to create your own ads, choose keywords to help match your ads to your audience, and control the cost of your advertising—you pay only when people click on your ad (a cost per click plan). Anyone wishing to promote a product on Google can enroll in this program.

you can get a 5 detail pages information about Google adwords at :

Check with a local art school or college for a volunteer. What student wouldn't want the credit on his or her resume? Check out free clip art on the internet for appropriate image and add the organization name to it... make sure it's not registered or protected from commercial use.
