UPS on standard ground delivery only will deliver Monday-Friday. They do not adhere to post office delivery days.
In terms of rerouting, if you received a yellow slip you may be able to change to a UPS store. However you need to setup a UPS store account first so UPS Store won't reject it.
I hope that helps.

You call the number on the back of the slip and they'll tell
you where to go - if they'll let you retrieve it.
It won't be a UPS store - that's not how their distribution
system works.
Usually, you simply arrange another time for delivery.

If they left a receipt with a first attempt, there should be a tracking number and/or 24/7 phone number with instructions. Check the receipt or go to their website ups.com for information.

you have to call them to arrange for pick up first, otherwise, they will come two more times to deliver the next day and the following day.
