Hit the ball any way you want as long as it is tossed from your hand and is struck before it hits the ground. There are many famous examples of players with injuries who had to serve underhanded.

Yes and you can hit and underhand serve also. Champ barring some kind of frozen shoulder you should save the backhand serve for beer pong.

i've taught tennis for two years
just go with a conventional serve, especially if you're still learning. doing anything but a real serve is kindof bad ettiquite if you're playing a real match.
definitely try to put spin on your serve though, that's fancy and an excellent skill

I dont Think its not allowed But most or all of players cant serve back handed HA HA HA because its really Tough even IF Steffi Graf mam Or NAVRATILOVA man tries that it would be really Tuff & also it looks really odd.

Like an underhand serve, you can do it as long as you don't let the ball bounce just before you hit it.

it is allowed. you can serve however you want, as long as you throw the ball and hit it before it touches the ground
