The twins in The Shining scarred me for life. That is indeed a scary movie.

I snuck in a viewing of The Birds without my parents knowledge and was much too young to see it. I still wish I hadn't seen it as I am so afraid of birds as an adult!

The Sixth Sense got down and scared me in places I didn't even know I had.

Hands down - the Shining. First scary movie I saw and I was less than 10 years old at the time. Still scares me to this day.

For sheer shock value, Alien was the scariest. The scene where the Alien baby bursts John Hurt's chest and escapes has to be one of the absolute scariest moments in my movie memory. The scene where the pods open and the creature wraps itself around John Hurt's face is take-your-breath away stunning.

Well..the most scared I've ever been in a movie theater was when I went to see the first Ring movie..then I watched it again when it came out on DVD(after telling everyone how freakin scary it was)and I wasn't scared one bit and everyone thought I was a liar. But seriously..watching it in the theater was a totally different experience.

The Exorcist. Now that I watch it, it's less frightening to me, but I was talked into watching it with a cousin when I was only 7. I was still getting over my childhood fear of the dark but that movie greatly distruebd my young mind. I'm stil afraid of the dark and I cannot watch that movie alone.

Back in the day, it was "Nightmare on Elm Street", that movie scared the crap out of me! That and "Children of the Corn"!!
Now, I'm smart enough not to watch those kinds of movies!! :~)

P.S. I almost forgot, Poltergeist, now that one was when I was pretty young, scary!
