I am pretty sure my computer has the right sys req for the game. I was able to download the game but whenever I try to start playing the game a small window that says " Drive Read Error" pops up. It tells me to insert the disk for the game into my computer but I have already done that. I can either click retry or cancel. But clicking retry only causes the box to come up again. What can I do? I do own the actual cd for downloading and playing the game.

Does it say which drive it is trying to read? If you have more than 1 CD/DVD drives, it may want the other one, or heaven help us, the floppy drive.

i had a problem like this a while back. it turned out to be a bad cd drive. i think the cd drive would get too hot and stop working. i usually use a virtual cd drive when playing games which require a cd. you can try using a different cd drive or you can try using a virtual cd drive

The data may be corrupted. Reload the game. You may be able to save previously played files. You've got nothing to lose. And clean the CD.

did you dig in there and se what files are in the folder, what their extentions are? whether they are really there or not?
