my hisband has been pecked by my friends rooster. It brought blood and now his leg is swollen......should he worry about infection??

They can. I have been badly scratched by roosters before, and the wound becomes purple and swelling. I was fine though, just ignored it. I would keep a close eye on it, maybe call a doctor. Chickens in general catch diseases easily.

roosters do not carry diseases like raybees but if the bit was not cared for with ointments and germisides you can develope infections like staff
to help with the swelling use an ice pack and wash the area with proxide or if you have it iodine

Every type of animal (even humans) carry disease. Yes, he should be worried about it. I'd put peroxide on it and watch it closely. If it's still bad after a few days, go see a doctor.
