it is within the range of $ 1099 and 1499. what do i need to get the student diccount? do i need an ID?

Yes, you should get a MacBook. And yes, you do need a student ID to get a student discount. However, I would recommend buying from the Apple Store if you want to be sure and get the student discount. You can find an Apple Store near you via Apple's website. Hope this helped, and why doesn't my state (OH) have any tax free weekends? I've never heard if that before.
