yes because its not like the titans have anything to lose, i mean come on im a titans fan but they are not gonna make the playoffs so go ahead and start vince young and let him get used to the speed of the NFL and then when titans are a playoff contender he will be experienced!

For the Networks- YES
For the NFL- Yes
For the TITANS- no
I am not a titans fan, nor a fan of any team in the afc or the division. I Know that the fans want him right away, because he offers the *hope* of the re-emergence of their team. NOT, I repeat NOT a great idea. Remember ELI Mannings first year? Peytons? Carr? Harrington? etc. Very few positions in the NFL are ready to go out the gate. The two most difficult are WR and QB. Most people never heard of Young until he toppled MOUNT-USC. I have no doubt he will make an outstanding addition to the TITANS 3 years from now, But give the ball to Billy Volek and Let the Kid learn. Volek has what it takes NOW, and NOW is what counts in the NFL. Remeber that the game is MUCH faster at the PRO level then the college level, and the game is much HARDER to read and react to at is level. Dont believe me, watch the 4th Quarter of a pre-season game. YOUNG WILL BE GREAT IN 2008!

I think Vince is awesome but he has alot to learn going from the offense in Texas to a new offense in Tennessee. That is alot to ask of anyone to learn in just a 6 months or so. The longer he can sit the better chance he has to be a stud like he was at Texas. I do think we will see him around week 7 or so. Either Volek will get hurt or the season will be lost and they will get Vince his reps. Being in the division they are in if you don't win at least 10 games you can't make the playoffs. Go Vince Go!!!

Not at the start of the season, but by mid season look for Vince to be playing more. He probably isn't a scholar, but other QBs have excelled in the NFL who probably didn't do very well on the SAT either. Young is a outstanding athlete who did not learn ho to run and elude people in the classroom, he has natural talent. I think Young will be a superstar in the NFL, but maybe not this year.

start young in some of the preseason games. tell him that this is his time to prove that he should be the starter. tell him Volek is the starter and he better do something pretty spectacular to winn that job.

He was drafted 3rd overall...if they're paying him that money, yeah he should start...it seems like a waste to not start him...but I hate QB's that work more with their legs than with their arm, and that's what Young is probably going to be doing if he does start this season...
