i think it is good that they deduct points because i think we need to give advice in return to asking it. That being said, i think it should be 3 instead of 5.

I think it is unfair, but it won't discourge people.. I could care less when there is a question on my mind I ask it, and have no worries about points.. It is totally unfair but I just live with it!
I hope you don't become discouraged to ask, or anyone else for that matter!

I am hesitant to ask b/c I know I will lose points...so I just keep answering more to make up the lost points..
And I always pick a best answer, which gives me back three points...so really then asking a question only cost me 2 points

We all started where you are and climbed up the Yahoo ladder. If we made it, you can too. It was fair for us to lose points, so it's fair for you to lose points when you ask a question. Just hang in there...persistence pays off.

it is unfair but they you will never miss all characters and that means some people no matter they lose points they will always ask questions and thats why i am answering them
