I have a female Syrain hamster and three male dwarf hamsters and I wanted to know if there was a possiblity of breeding the two together. If so what would the breed be called and has anyone ever tried it before?

Keep them seperated, you are better off not having babies of any kind of hampsters b/c once they have babies, they multiply like crazy before you know it. We had dwarf hampsters before and her first time she had about 5 babies, then before we knew it, as they got bigger, before we could tell them apart from boys and girls, they girls got pregnant and in the end we ended up with 30 hampsters and had to take them to the pet store.

The SECOND you put a dwarf in with a syrian, the syrian is going to KILL the dwarf. Syrians like to live alone and are quite vicious to other small animals. One of my excoworkers put a mouse in with a syrian hamster and the mouse was ripped apart when i discoverd the gruesome scene. That idiot got fired pretty fast. When breeding syrian hamsters, you have to put the female in the male syrians cage and after they are done mating you have to seperate them because they will start fighting. The prefer to live alone.

I do not know if it its possible but DO NOT DO IT, because the mother will have trouble giving birth to a hybrid. Especially if the dwarf is the female.
