Xbox controller?

I just bought an intec, star wars xbox controller. It has three buttons unlike a normal one, turbo, program, and clear. When i plugged it in and started playing halo 2, every time i tried to fire my gun my character threw a grenade. And when i tried to throw a grenade, he threw a grenade. I think this has something to do with the program button. Could anyone tell me how i could fix this?

You need to go into options and program what buttons do what.

get a new controller...this time a regular one
