Mike Piazza - C - 2000 - BA-324 HR-38 OPS-1012
John Olerud - 1B - 1998 - BA-354 HR-22 OPS-998
Darryl Strawberry - OF - 1987 BA-284 HR-39 OPS-984
Edgardo Alfonzo - 2B - 2000 - BA-324 HR-25 OPS-967
Bernard Gilkey - OF -1996 - BA-317 HR-30 OPS-956

Those are the only 5 Mets players with a season OPS over 950 that I have on the "all time" Mets team

Dwight Gooden - 1985 - W-24 L-4 ERA-1.53
Tom Seaver - 1975 - W-22 L-9 ERA-2.38

The two best seasons by Mets starting pitchers - I know some are going to say, that was not Seaver's best season, but for computer simulated play against the best of the best, it is...

I'll dare to be un-Tom Seaver-ish. I'd say the best Met ever is Carlos Beltran. He is incredibly fast, he can hit the ball like nobody's business(especially when he's on a streak), he can field, and he can throw. The total package.

Donn Clendenon or Cleon Jones. Pitcher, Seaver or Dwight Gooden.

Tom Seaver collectively. I would say Nolan Ryan and Willie Mays but i'm not sure it counts since they didn't play their best years in New York.

but in this era i'd definitely say Mike Piazza, and it still shows how much the fans care about him when he recently went back to play them.

I'd have to say Mike Piazza. He was the best hitting catcher ever (arguably) and he got a standing ovation while playing for the other team this past week.
