We're already at 2500+ and counting. 60-70% of Americans are saying, "This war is morally wrong, we should all be opposed to it, and people who are not opposed to it are wrong." How do we change the minds of the other 30-40%?

Sasssikatz04----I do understand the reason and need behind this "mild" war. But I also understand that this war can no longer be called "mild" by any thinking people. As for the reasons, we may have removed Saddam from power, but the WMD's aren't where our intelligence agencies said they would be, and we have been greeted by the Iraqi people as invaders, not liberators.

The invasion of Iraq was always wrong. Don’t just count the number of US troops who have been killed… give a thought to the more than 40,000 innocent Iraqi civilians who have been slaughtered!
Don’t try to justify the war in Iraq. The country is now on the brink of a civil war, with the number of casualties set to rise dramatically.
I wish I could say that the Iraqi people are better off now than what they were prior to the invasion of their country. They were promised we were going to help them. With so many of their people now dead because of our intervention, I’m not sure they have much regard for our promises!
With the Saddam Hussein Regime no longer ruling Iraq, it is time for the coalition forces to be sent home, and for an international peacekeeping force to try to bring peace to the country.
Bringing peace to the Middle East is an international concern. The heavy handedness of the US-led Invasion was successful in overthrowing the Saddam Hussein Regime, but such bullying tactics will never result in the achievement of a lasting peace!

don't play the math game. it's the justification that matters.
even though millions of Allied soldiers died during World War 1 and 2, that war was *justified* for the US, the UK, and the rest of the Allies.
even if we suffered only 5 casualties in the entire Iraq war, it was still unjustified. that is why it is wrong.
however, the 30-40% believe the war *was* justified. it doesn't become any more *wrong* as more people die, it just becomes more *sad*.
remember, keep things in perspective. over 100,000 civilians died in Rwanda 15 years ago, and we didn't do a thing about it.

various reason existed for us of a intervention: they voiced weapons of Mass Destruction - inspite of the undeniable fact that fake that could have been. GW Bush Snr promised the folk of Iraq interior the 1st Iraq conflict that in the event that they rose up against Saddam the country might help get rid of him from skill - the Irawi human beings dont like the country because of the fact while they rose up the country signed a peace treaty with Saddam.... intense high quality hiya? SO hundreds have been carried out because of the fact they formally "rebelled" from Saddam's rule. because then he has commited Genecide, totured, murdered and destroyed his us of a and the various encircling ones. Why the country invaded substitute into to get rid of him - and formerly wer say "oil oil oil" have the cost long gone up or down? Is the availability greater suitable or much less because of the fact the conflict? If grant has long gone down doesnt that recommend that oil production is down and as a result it substitute into no longer the reason of the conflict?! think of human beings.... So genuinely the West broke its promise to the folk of Iraq and desperate to maintain on with by using a decade or so later. the reason its no longer working is with the help of the fact Saddam's propoganda device has been pumping out anti-us of a textile for 10 years and a few human beings think of the country prefer to kill all of them. Its no longer non secular, its no longer oil appropriate its the friendly of an prolonged previous due promise. And please think of intently 3000 casualties in how many months of scuffling with!? if this substitute right into a devasting conflict wouldnt we be seeing 3000 caualties a month? think of human beings... think of

If you really understood the reason & NEED behind this "mild" war, then you wouldnt be asking this question, or saying that its wrong...... Look into the truth about it, and avoid propaganda!

You have an alternative?
The number that have died, though terrible, is nothing like past wars.
