100% sure Toshiba!!! you cannot compare these 2 brands. if you want me to rate them: 1- VAIO 2-TOSHIBA 3-DELL/HP and..... look, you can compare toshiba with VAIO(sony). VAIO is more expensive but not really better than Toshiba. HP is usually BIG!!! and DELL is ok for normal activity.
if i were you i decide between DELL and Toshiba.(toshiba is more expensive).
i'm not sure but maybe you will get some problems with the LCD of Acer. i just heard that ACER's LCD will get down pixel sooner than the others!

Is money of any concern??
If not, then go for the toshiba for the service and special bundles that may come with it. Expect discounts and bundled goodies before school starts or wait for the thanksgiving/christmas specials.
I would opt for the acer if only for the attached camera and the price. Acer is getting better as a product and most components are similar to the major brands...

I would buy a Toshiba because it is more often and what the heck is "Acer"?

acer coz cheaper n still work the same.now-a-day , the inside of the comp r mostly made in taiwan.acer is from taiwan n used to supply parts for other big brand names.later , they made their own.in reality , not much of a difference.

Actually none of the above. Please go with HP, I've never had any problems.
