i liked alot of bands like metalica, motley crue, megadeath, judas preist, guns n roses but i wood hav to say iron maiden. there the godfathers of metal and without them there wood be no new bands today like system of a down or social code.

Not bad taste, I do love Iron Maiden but have to say Deep Purple, early Whitesnake (before David Coverdale sold out and went 'Glam rock' - not a good move!), Judas Priest, Lone Star, and Led Zepp are my favs.

Rammstein. Awesome band superb live, strange/interesting lyrics (after translations of course!!!).
A lot of the others already mentioned Motorhead, Zeppelin etc are rock bands NOT metal, Iron Maiden would fall in the metal catagory but their best years are unfortunately WAY behaind them, sorry.

Judas preist, My dad used to play with them before the adopted the name. Back in the west midlands in the 60's

I love my music, not just metal, but rem,u2, joy division, the killers, and loads more, but fave metal is iron maiden, mainly the first 4 albums, brilliant!Not long got iron maiden early years dvd, which focuses on that period, and the live performances are amazing.Also they were the first gig i went to.

all time favorite metal band is guns n roses but all time favorite metal song is enter sandman by metallica. i like more of the guns n roses songs is why i chose them as fave metal band. not into any of the newer stuff though as far as metal bands go. i like the older stuff. motley crue was good. i liked the song girls school but can't remember who sang it. i like some ratt.

It has to be Iron Maiden
I can't wait until december when I go and see them in concert I have been to see them twice before but Blaze Bailey was lead singer then.
So I am looking forward to see them with the main man himself Bruce Dickinson.
