Going to Egypt for a vacation, going to mainly the torrist areas, what are the essentials to bring? Something I may not think about bringing and need?? Going in begining of September :)

Suggest making a copy of your passport and carry it separately from your real passport. Also, have a credit card or debit card that is accepted in Egypt handy. (Visa, MC, Amex) If you don't have one, traveler's check.
Addresses and phone numbers of American consulate or embassy.
In emergencies, both of those items will come in very handy.

You should not bring anything that will have to be thrown away at the airport. You should just buy that stuff when you're there.
You should definitely bring a good camera, a journal to write about your experiences, a map that you can track your trips/routes, plenty of clothing that will cover your arms/legs, a hat to protect your face, some nasal spray that will keep your nose moist (I learned that the desert is murder on your sinuses in Las Vegas).

Bring a piece of stone block from the Great Pyramid, or at night take a shovel and make an excavation near the Pyramids to see if you find something valuable.

Egypt is very hot in the summer. since i am an egyptian
bring very light cotton clothes ,eyes glasses, camera,
very comfy walking shoes and umbrella if u like to protect from the heat of the sun.

It will be very hot so loose clothing and a sun hat are essential but females should not show much bare flesh unless they want to be harassed.

well am in Dahab The Red Sea Egypt, get with you sunglasses because its sunny here, Hat, Money, Cloths. Camera, memory cards, its not commonly available in small towns, sun lotion, and the same things that you take anywhere. that's it!
