I am being blamed for someone else's mental instability and a person that knows us both has been sending me messages through another persons messenger because I have him blocked. He has threatened to come to where my live and do me harm.
What exactly should I do... call police ? how do I report to yahoo this problem ? Answers would be greatly appreciated. I am a peaceful person and do not deserve this.

Call the police.
And document everything. (If you do decide to file harassment charges, you'll likely need a police incident report for each & every occurrence.)
You also might want to consider getting a restraining order.
I'd recommend calling the Legal Aid Bureau if you don't already have a lawyer to determine what legal recourse you have locally.

Collect an amount of data (i.e. Keep the messages he sends you). Once you have about 10-15 messages, block the address at which he is sending you the messages from. Print the messages and take them to your local Police station. Make sure that the messages are copied DIRECTLY from the Messenger screen, that way they show his and your screen names.
DO NOT take this matter into your own hands. It (in the US) is considered a Federal Offense, and if you try and interviene yourself, all chances of the police dealing with it will be destroyed!

Call the police, because if you have the threats on IM, or email, then it can become a federal offense... Good Luck, by the way, I am for rent as a bodyguard ( 12 yrs. Marine Corps, and I do not like bullies either).

People can be so stupid. Tell the person sending you messages to stop. Tell them if they don't stop, you WILL go to the police. If they accuse you of being a wimp, tell them you're just trying to keep THEM out of harm's way.
The "friend" sending unwanted messages is not a very good friend.
Also, keeping a record of the messages would be a good idea.

I would call the police and contact yahoo about it or you can just stop using messenger. they have other messengers on the net. Hope I was of use to you and hang in there!
