It could be snowing somewhere in the far northern parts of Canada, but even there snow in August would be a little unusual, though not unheard of. I lived on the northern tip of Baffin Island for a year, about 700 miles from the north pole, and it didn't snow until late September.

In most of Canada the weather now is typical summer weather - lovely, hot days.

Canada is covers a great deal of land and stretches very far to the north. It is possible that in the northernmost area that the would experience snow, but it is also true that much of the country experiences summer not so much different from the US.

It is not snowing in Canada for pete's sake. It is as hot here as it is in California, Florida or even Hawaii. Your geography classes were very limited I assume. Even in the far north they are experiencing warm weather - even for that part of the world. 50 or more degrees lately.
