I would prefer songs that are very well known, and that, if possible, don't include the B or F chords.

highway to hell,,,, A D G and E ,,thats the whole song
you shook me all night long,,,, D G C
TNT,,,Dirty Deeds,,, Back in Black,,,,etc etc,,,,easiest songs on the planet to play

Best to go to a music store and look through easy guitar books. You want to play the music you like but starting out you have to learn the easy stuff. There are simple arrangements for house of the rising sun and puff the magic dragon. But when you first start out these are not so easy. try to get a friend or music teacher to get the basics. If I remember right I strummed songs with only a couple of chords like let it be, hey jude from the Beatles. it gives you a sense of timing, keeping the beat.
