You might want to review the terms of your lease or rental agreement. If she agreed to provide you with a live internet connection then she has violated the terms of the lease/agreement by unhooking it.

Good luck with your situation.

She sounds like a real witch. I would call the cable company and ask them for advice. Is it in the lease agreement that you feed her dogs? So far there is not enough damage to make it worth legal fees suing her and meanwhile she can make your life living hell.

I'd look for different place to live asap. Why should you take your computers out of your residence? If they are in a common area because you share a house, disconnect it and store the equipment in your bedroom.

Is it written down in the rental agreement or lease that she will provide Internet service? Was it optional -- dependent on her goodwill? Any lessons learned here about getting things in writing and maintaining good relations by doing mutual favors and cooperating?

Even without a written agreement she is legally obligated to provide reasonably safe conditions for your stuff if you are paying her rent.
