a vinyl liner does not need to be glued due the fact the water pressure alone is enough t keep it against the walls and floor.a quality,properly measured, v bead liner,properly installed,is sufficeint.a commercial vacuum will pull it to the wall by sucking all the air from behind.creating a vacuum behind the liner, thru the skimmer,pulls out all wrinkles and clings it to the wall while it fills

You need to consult with a good pool person or pool store about your options. That is not a do-it-yourself project. I know because we have a pool.
