Honesty (will never happen)
Caring about the people of this country (will never happen)
Intelligence (Hasn't been a smart president in my lifetime)
Courage to do what's right for all not just the ones in DC (will NEVER happen)
what we want and need in a president are not characteristics of the people who end up going into politics.

Someone with good convictions, morals, good head on his shoulders, someone who's friends are not from the middle east drilling oil....I think a woman president is what America needs see how we Americans handle that.....though i don't think it will happen in 2008 i think John McCain might be good candidate....I would never vote for John Kerry!!!! he should just go into hiding

Someone who doesn't have self interest in everything he does. Who doesn't do things for his buddies and isn't in office to be rich when he gets out. Some one who can balance a budget and keep the economy in line. Some one who can figure out that we went to war to find Bin Laden and that he isn't in the country we are "freeing". Someone who can barter with countries to bring the price of oil down, or find alternate resources cheaper (like oil from the good ol US).

I agree with the post that says Evan Bayh from Indiana.....I think he'd be great for the economy.

Someone who takes the Oath of Office at face value, defending and upholding the Constitution to the last letter. Someone who can truly contemplate the issues without unnecessary partisan bias, and who will work to do what's truly right for the country. And ditto to the "legalize it", they need to end the failed drug war.

No special interest.
No spineless wimp.
No lying sack of beans.
No slick talking professional politician.

I know just that little bit is a hard bill to fill...but a guy can dream, can't he? ; )
