Try as I might, there are still slightly more ants outside than in.
I'm up to several million; and still, I feel there are more out there.
Any ideas?

If you want more ants indoors, make trails of honey, bits of meat, half eaten chicken drumsticks, peanut butter, and jam. Make sure that you have plenty food easily available once they are inside. Don't wash your dishes until the ants have had their fill of the food stuck to them. Have some large pots of dirt ready if they decide to stay. Make it as attractive to them as possible so more will come in than go out. Encourage their immigration by bring some inside yourself. You might have to give up on showers, since many of them may decide to regularly visit the faucets for their water. Even with all your efforts, I can't guarantee that there will be more inside than out. Also you may attract other critters, such as spiders, that will deplete your new friends. Good luck, watch out for the health department.

There are certain ants you NEVER spray for like "sugar" ants. It divides the colony and doubles your problem. Your best bet is use an ant bait in gel form inside the house at plumbing areas and in corners near food. You can use regular jelly first to attract them and replace it with the bait. Outside of the house use granular bait or a suspended capsulate like Demand if you can find it at Home Depot or Lowes.

I guess you're trying to keep the outside ants from coming inside?

After you use some ant spray, place bay leaves (in the grocery store spice aisle) around, for some reason the ants avoid like RAID!

the only way to achieve your agenda would be to filter out all the worker ants and find the queen ant.they'll only listen to the queen's directions.if you spray any kind of bug repellant, they'll immediately notify the queen and she'll command more ant troops to find the culprit responsible for murdering a part of their colony.then swarm the human's home and make life a living hell.i would collect the ants into ant farms, where i'll sell them to pet stores.make a seemingly negative situation into a positive:)

r u trying to keep them outside? one thing u can do is put something sweet outside -away from where u dont want them to distract them over there. they dont like cinnamon. put it along the edge of where they come in from. if theyre coming in a hole-close it-use puddy, playdough, even silly putty works-whatever u have on hand. can even mix cinnamon in it. also ants wont cross a solid chalk line. somes times crushed bay leaves work, sometimes crushed mint. plant some mint just outside. good luck. if there are few stragglers u can use a blow dryer to blow them to the door. dont get too close if its hot or u will killthem. if u have a cold button perfect.

ew...ants are gross. but if you want them inside it would be best if you left all your doors leading outside open and scatter crumbs around.
