should i buy the sims 2 for pc or xbox?

The PC gives you a lot more options for customization, since there's a ton of content out there for download. It kind of sucks that a lot of skinners have gone to pay sites, but understandable because of the bandwidth involved. There are still a lot of free skins & objects available, though, if you take some time to look around. Also, from other players I have talked to the PC controls are more user-friendly.
My whole family is pretty much addicted to Sims - it's a fun game and you never quite know why. I think there's something to appeal to everyone - my husband builds lots & houses, my sister creates little soap operas, my mum writes stories with the Sims as illustration, I just like to see if I can get one Sim through life to die old & happy...

Definitely the PC version. MUCH more customizable in terms of downloading new houses, hair styles, clothes, community centers and items that are all custom content. Not to mention that the size of your house and how many items in the house is not limited, plus you got the expansion packs for the PC.

I like PC better. There is more to do, more customization. You can download furniture, clothing, hair, etc to add to the game. Also purchase expansion packs.

i have it on my ps2 and pc. on pc it is way better but if you have a odd or alot of data on your computer it will suck and be very slow. on ps2 in your case xbox its not as good but your will not have a slow system (lol that will never happen)

no. you should never buy sims games. they suck. live your life in the real world and play video games that are not a waste of time in your spare time. also dont buy GTA liberty city stories either. its a waste of money.

I WILL VOTE ON PC CAUSE THE GRAFICS ARE BETTER AND YOU GET MORE STUFF, AND CUSTOMIZE MORE.
