I have had an abortion about 2 months ago. Since the day of abortion I had to wait for my period about 7 weeks. I have had check-ups after abortion, and everything looked okay, I passed the pregnancy out. I was still keeping track of the pregnancy hormone in my blood, just by using the pregnancy tests. The thing about it was that, I was reading the results about two days later (since the day I did it) I could see the other line getting weaker and weaker every few days I did the tests.
Finally I got my period. What have made me sorta worried is that my period was very short. My husband and I have had an intercource 7 days after the period.
I am worried because I think I might be pregnant again. I have common sings of pregnancy that I experienced before (Feling tired and nauseous, headaches, itchy feet and mood swings). I did another test 3 days ago, and when today I saw it, the other line getting stronger (comparing the result with the other tests).
Thanks for help!

All I can say is that I have had protected sex after abortion. I do not as for judgments I ask for opinions. Whatever was the reason why I decided to do so it's my personal business.

Please note that I read the result of the tests A FEW DAYS AFTER I DID IT. Normally I am not supposed to read the test after 10-20 minutes. If I read the test when I am supposed to do, the OTHER LINE DOES NOT APPEAR AT ALL!!!
Most of the pregnancy tests ARE NOT ABLE to detect the actual pregnancy so early on (6-7 days after the possible conception). Only blood test can do so.

People on this site who choose to share their ridiculous opinions about abortion should just shut their heads. No one cares what you think and most of you can't even string a sentence together. If you're not intelligent or rational enough to give a straight answer to a question that's been asked by someone who is no doubt in distress, then you should probably get your tubes tied before you further pollute the human gene pool with little red-neck babies who will grow up to be as aggressive, idiotic and illiterate as you. I believe it says in the bible 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone'. Right? Well then, lets stick to answering the question that has been asked.
Theoretically, it is possible to get pregnant within two weeks of a medical abortion (which is what I presume you had if you 'passed' the pregnancy). Because hormones do not change instantaneously, there will still be pregnancy hormones circulating in your body for several weeks following the abortion. A home pregnancy test (urine) will continue to show 'positive' results for up to three weeks after an abortion, while a blood test (which is much more sensitive) will continue to show a positive result for longer. What you really need to look for in a hormone blood test is the overall trend. Are your pregnancy hormones decreasing? If so, your pregnancy is gone and your body will settle down in time. Were you offered an ultrasound exam a couple of weeks after the abortion? That would confirm whether the procedure had worked or not.
So, moving on...you had intercourse 7 days after your period ended. If it was unprotected intercourse (without a condom) then there is a reasonable chance that you may have become pregnant again, since most women ovulate 14 days after the first day of their period.
What I would do now is this; if it is over two weeks since you and your husband had unprotected sex, you should take a home URINE pregnancy test. If that comes back positive, then you are more than likely pregnant again, and should go to see your doctor.
Don't forget, if you didn't have unprotected sex, you could still be pregnant (condoms do fail sometimes), although it's worth remembering that stress can make you have imaginary symptoms.
It would be a good idea to go and see your doctor for a full post abortion check up, and to discuss which forms of contraception will suit you best. Having an abortion, whilst extremely safe and considerably safer than childbirth, will take its toll on your body, so be careful to ensure you don't need one in future.
Good luck.

After much soul searching I have decided that I probably should not air my opinion on abortion when it is not asked for so I am deleting my answer.
I do however have a possible answer to your question...
The results on a pregnancy test are only valid for so long. It is not uncommon for it to show positive hours or days later when the result is actually negative. Take another test and read the results within the time frame the directions indicate. I would bet that you are not pregnant. I have had a test go to postive several days later when I was not pregnant.

haveing an abortion is your thing but as far as might be pregnant after the abortion now im sorry but you would think if you didnt want a kid right now you would use birth control, or condoms and if he says things like oh i cant feel any thing because of this damn condom or its to a little tight then go out and buy him large size condoms yes it is very possible that you could be pregnant again. im sorry but if i had an abortion then had sex i would make sure it was protected because that is what responsible adults do is stay protected. well if you are pregnant again have fun spending the 500 dollars to get rid of it again.

I would go to the dr. and get a blood test. The test shouldn't be showing any second line (+) at all, false posatives are rare. BUT they do happen, get a blood test.
(On a side note, don't let these silly people get to you with their judgements and ignorance. They are not you nor have they walked in your shoes. There is so much more I could say but I will bite my tongue. Stay strong and wishing the best for you and your husband.)

It is very possible that you are pregnant again. Abortion like giving birth or a miscarriage will mess with your hormones so go to the doctor and don't rely on home pregnancy tests.

Okay, I am confused. Why would you get an abortion, then have unprotected sex only to possibly get pregnant again?? Have you no common sense? Sorry to be rude but I would like to think there are intelligent people in the world and each day I am proven horribly wrong.

If you do not want a baby, then you need to abstain (even if you are married) or use some kind of birth control. Abortion should never be used as a means of birth control. If you think you may be pregnant, you need to see your doctor to confirm.

regardless of if no physique else is time-honored with of with regard to the abortion... they are going to... for something of their lives. on condition that the Catholic Church effectively teaches that abortion is homicide, in the event that they're in any respect severe approximately their faith, even in basic terms a tiny bit... or regardless of in the event that they are not now yet are extra probable to as they become previous, then abortion ought to be out of the question. The "superb suited" factor to do is unquestionably get married and take duty for the toddler if that's particularly achieveable. yet at this factor, the "sin" of premarital intercourse has already occured. So the Church would not coach that putting a toddler up for adoption is in any way shape or style a "sin". in certainty, given the form of infertile couples are accessible that could rather desire to undertake a toddler, the main loving and honorable factor she ought to do at this factor could be to place the toddler up for adoption if beginning a kinfolk could extra probable grant a damaging atmosphere for the toddler.

I would go to the doctor and get checked out. Oh and to the girl who felt the need to share her opinion about abortion, no one cares about your opinion, your kid, or your life. If you are not going to answer the question asked go find something else to do because seriously no one gives a **** what you think.
