OK. Why do lots of people think Bush is bad? Let's review.
Bush swore an oath of office to support and defend the Constitution. He has sponsored and signed laws that violate Articles I (denial of Habeas Corpus), IV (denial of Full Faith and Credit), VI (abrogation of the Supremacy Clause), and the 4th (illegal searches and seizures), 5th (lack of due process), 6th (denial of counsel, denial of access to courts), and 8th (no torture) Amendments. He has ordered actions that have violated Articles I (abrogation of Presentment and Bicameral Clauses), III (rejection of judicial authority of federal courts), IV (denial of Privileges and Immunities Clause), and the 1st (breach of Establishment Clause, denial of Freedom of Association, denial of Right to Petition), 4th (illegal searches and seizures), 5th (denial of Due Process, improper Takings, refusal to follow Grand Jury requirements), 6th (denial of counsel, abrogation of Confrontation Clause, denial of public trial), and 8th (no torture) Amendments. He refers to the Constitution as "just a g*d*mn piece of paper". This is failure to support and defend the Constitution, which is a betrayal of his oath of office.
Bush swore an oath of office to ensure that the laws of this nation were faithfully executed. He has put into place 800 signing statements, the vast majority of which assert that he does not intend to follow or enforce a particular law if he doesn't want to. He has lied to Congress about those signing statements, which is a violation of federal law. He has ordered illegal warrantless wiretapping in violation of FISA and Title III of the Omnibus Crime Control Act (18 USC 2511). He has committed actions our own laws clearly define as war crimes (18 USC 2441). He has willfully violated federal law thousands upon thousands of times, by his own admission and according to findings of the US Supreme Court. This is failure to ensure that the laws are faithfully executed, which is a betrayal of his oath of office.
That's just what he's admitted doing, and what the Supreme Court has determined he's done. We'll ignore all the arguable stuff about lying to the American public, gross incompetence in his job, and other subjective issues. By his own admission, he's in criminal violation of federal laws and his oath of office. Any more questions?
FYI, the only problem I have with the Republic party as a whole is that they have not denounced and impeached this criminal and his accomplices long ago.

Though I am not technically a liberal, I do understand there mentality. Generally speaking if you look at war and get really emotional about it, you just know it is terrible. Then you have to understand that everything we have, is here because someone fought and died in a war. There were liberals that did not want us in WWII, even after Pearl Harbor, they live in a bubble, a dream world that does not exist for the rest of us.
The problem is that most liberals deal with things at surface level, and actually believe the lies that the media feed them. Sort of like doctors that tell you that you need surgery when a chiropracter can actually help you. They are afraid to face the truth that they could be wrong.
Another answer is entitlement mentality. I know MANY people that loved Bill Clinton because social services were well funded under him. Services paid for by tax payers, that these people get for free. They feel we "owe" them. They have a right to these services. Like a spoiled child the liberal will only learn when faced with disaster.

It's a difficult time in histroy. (Maybe I shouldn't be answering this as I'm a moderate). Still it appears to me the liberals know what's wrong, but not how to fix it. Since they dont' know how to fix it, they just keep blathering on and on and on about what's wrong. These are hard times. The real choice is do nothing and see what happens (liberal) or to do something and see what happens (conservative). Unfortunately there are no great leaders at the present to just say it and there are no guarantees either way.
PS: eatmore-every President since Andrew Jackson has used statements questioning the constitutionality of some law passed, because they didn't want to veto the whole bill. This is NOT a Bushism. It's a long standing tradition.

Oh Boy are you asking for it! It is the Conservatives who are about to have to eat all the manure you have been spreading for the last six years. Your simple minded solutions to human problems have backfired into your manicured face.
I fully anticipate that the Iraq War is going to be lost completely before Bush's ugly Presidency is over. And you all are going to try your best to blame the loss on the Democrats, but you Republicans have controlled the Government of the United States since the year 2000, and you followed your leader and forgot to carefully think before you start killing other people for half assed Texas horse manure reasons.
And guess what, their is no Demonstrators to blame this time. The 60's anti-war folks refused to let you off the hook this time. You are going to be hiding your affiliation with the Republican Party in the next decade.
You are going to be a peaceniks! And we are finally going to realize that being war like people is not a healthy thing to do for anyone or any Country.

Bush never lied about WMD's he had bad information on that subject, while he could have reacted faster during hurricane katrina, he has done many other things that i agree with totally, like refusing to fund stem cell research and preserving thousands of lives. And while i try to explain that bush supports all that i do i get written hate mail by the liberals telling me that i am a stupid dumbf**k bush supporter. They just can't stand the fact that someone else might be right and they might be wrong. Hell maybe I might be wrong about bush so i keep an eye on him and haven't been proven wrong.

Bush misled the entire country about the threat Iraq posed to the United States and to the world. I trusted him to tell the truth about national security at a time when national security was the first and most important thing on everyone's minds. He claimed that Iraq had an active WMD program, an active nuclear program. As it turned out, he was wrong. He had the most information of anyone in America - he had access to the best intelligence that the CIA could provide, and he got it wrong. Now, as a result of this error, whether it was a deliberate lie or merely a large mistake, we are in the middle of a war that was begun on false pretenses and at the cost of American and Iraqi lives. Knowing this, I can no longer trust our President.
That is why I do not like our President.

People, im not conservative. Bush isn't as stupid as we make him out to be, but yes i hate his guts too... He had a legitamit reason for going into Iraq that if the rest of the world knew, it wouldn't have worked out. (the problem with my statement is that i forgot the reason...) AND AS FOR MELT!!!!!! I'm so against almost EVERYTHING you have said. I agree somewhat with one thing though, conservatives tend to do more action, but is that necisarily a good thing? Yes, there is a chance that the action taken is the right one, but if you have no idea how your going to handle the situation, or even have a simple back up plan (Iraq) is it a good thing to go into a war head on and with no real means on how your going to get out? Im not saying that doing nothing is a good stratagy either though. either way, IM THE MOST ******* PISSED AT BUSH BECAUSE IF THIS WAR DOESN'T END IN THE NEXT 2-3 YEARS, I COULD BE ******* DRAFTED!!!!!!!!! **** BUSH **** BUSH **** BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS NOT HARD TO MAKE A SIMPLE EXIT STRATEGY U ******!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liberals don't have a monopoly on disliking Bush. I can stand neither conservatives nor liberals.
George Bush is a mini-tyrant who has facilitated the largest infringement upon individual liberty since FDR. Anyone who thinks the PATRIOT Act, virtually unlimited police power and pointless bloodshed are good things is my enemy also, and I pity the children who will grow up to live in the surveillance-driven nanny state that has been created.

So I guess we are still waiting on an answer? There were some good answers, but there were the standard Bush lied BS. If Bush lied, then every world leader lied, Clinton lied, Congress lied. Why they can't see this I will never understand.

You wouldn't bother to read any rational answers. I have given sources or made a point and some don't ever read the links. Don't you ever get tired of playing "follow the leader?" I usally push voters to cast their vote independently because I think both parties are doing a lousy job in Washington. The President is a mouthpiece and nothing more. Cheney has been in control since day one and will be until this admisistration's term runs out. It is very hard to have faith in a president who can only read prepared statements. Any time he has to think on his feet he is clueless and goes back to his prepared talking points. Be free and stop labeling everybody either a conservative or a liberal and think for yourself.

I see you bathe regularly in the Bushwash. Friend, you seem to be standing on the box that soap came in.
Good luck with these notions in the near future when all you beleive is torn down and the illusion is unmasked for all it truly is. Watch the world, friend. Take your blinders off and watch the world.
