I don't know... but I've always found the costumes in comic books to be completely embarrassing! Who would ever want to look like that? Manly? I think not!

1.) Sometimes things got confused when he was changing in that telephone booth, and he just didn't want to admit it was a mistake.
2.) To disguise the diaper he was wearing. As a hero, you gotta get into some damn scary situations and there ain't time to stop and find a bathroom.

you know how cyclist look in those spandex outfits and their "goods"bulge, the superheros don't have that , think the underwear hides the bulge
