Listen and keep your head UP. A lot of young players make the mistake of looking down during a tackle. First it can really hurt the guy that you are hitting/spearing, secondly it's a great way to jar your neck. The idea is to have fun and avoid the wheelchair.
Also play like you practice. Once you get out there under the lights with the cheerleaders and all of your friends watching, you will be so focused on not screwing up the play that it's easy to forget the fundamentals.
I've played before 90,000 screaming fans (all wearing the same color as me) and there's nothing's like it. Most importantly, never forget that it's only a game.

work hard
have some anger in you
listen to the coaches' every detail in wut they say
get it in ure head that you're bigger than the people on the field/ that you're better (but don't be a cocky little man that walks around bein like u suck i'm better)
be a leader
show the coaches why you should start
get ready first
be in front of the stretch lines
BE A MOTIVATOR ( get the team pumped up when ure sittin out and stuff)
again.... BE ANGRY WHEN URE HITTING (none of that pu%%y whipped $hi*)
always jump in when they tell say they need someone else in that position (you'll get noticed more and you'll definitely learn some stuff when ure practicing more)

wrestle in the off season. That is the best thing you can do to stay in shape year round, and wrestling will make you stronger and faster on the football field.

Listen to your coach and behave off the field or you may end up like Maurice.
