I have a best friend named beau and he wants to go out wit me ,should i go out wit him!?

Do you like him? How much does he like you? Because, sad to say, if it doesn't work out, and you guys break up, it WILL ruin your friendship. I had a best friend and we were best of friends for like 7 years, and we decided to date, because we figured it was perfect. We got along, we liked the same things, etc. Well, after a few months, we were driving each other crazy, and we realized that it wasn't going to work out. We talked for a long time, and we said that we'd "just be friends, like we were. no big deal, we've been friends forever, that's what we'll do" So, we broke up in good faith that we'd just be like it was. We hung out the next week, and it was just wierd. different. He left early. After that, we didn't talk much. We were civil to each other, but we stopped talking altogether after a few months. It totally ruined our friendship. I miss him terribly, and I regret dating him, but there isn't anything I can do about it.

So my advice is to really stop and think what your heart is telling you. My feeling is that if you are having to ask a bunch of us total strangers, you aren't hopelessly in love with him. So, NO DO NOT DATE HIM. And tell him truthfully, "I want our friendship as is, this is what I want, and no more" and if he's a true friend, he will be ok with that. If he isn't, then you deserve better friends anyway.

Oh, and btw, I've had other guy friends ask me out, and have told them similar stuff, and all of us are still friends.
