do you mean while he was dining out??

but of coarse, we all no that knowah is a myth, think about it, two of each species was taken aboard the ark? how ridiculous, did he have two of each insect? hmmmmm, how did he collect species like komodo dragons, did he have two of each bird? yeah right, how stupid is this myth? and even if he could possibly collect two of each species, like two of each species could propagate their entire species, how dumb. oh yeah, and if it rained every day for 40 days, where did all this water come from that immersed all the continents under water? obviously from the heavans, because if all the ice caps melt, the seas would only rise 250 feet at most, hardly enough to cover all the land, get real, stupid mythology, what is this? kevin costner and waterworld? were there people with wave runners attacking noah also? gimme a break.

but thats kind of funny about the woodpeckers, by the way, where would he keep the termites?

hahahahhahah
good one - I saw that cartoon too (Noah trying to catch the woodpecker before he punched another hole in the ark)
To answer your question, and it seems so unbelievable to everyone, is the animals (and birds) were called to the ark by God, therefore they would have behaved appropriately for the duration.
