Were they released before or after Reagan took office? I say after, my husband says before, who is right?

When a real MAN was elected. After he was elected. Iran didn't release them while Carter was in there to embarrass him. They knew Reagan would do something.

They were released after Reagan took office, in fact a day after he took office I belive. It was something called the Iran Contra Scandal. Reagan was responsible for them being released though, Carter's attempts were all failures.
