The stuff at electroauto is very interesting.

It is difficult & expensive, but can be done with good results depending on your demands.

It is maybe not a good idea to start with any car. Some of the better conversions start with a small lightweight car. Some good ones are Mazda Miata, Honda CRX, Geo Metro, etc.

And you probably will not get a driving range over 80 or 100 miles.

Jack's right. You'll be severly disappointed with the performance if you try to convert a gasoline/petrol fueled car to electric power.

Reason: The gas powered car has evolved over the years to require the level of energy density that gasoline has. No electric energy storage system currently available has that amount of watt hrs/kg. Ergo, to get anything like the performance of a gas vehicle, you have to make everything incredibly LIGHT.

Think graphite unibody, plexiglas windows, magnesium wheels....

I don't have a download site. I do have a question. How far are you taking this conversion? From where will the electricity come? How much power do you need?
You are taking on a tremedous task. Good luck. I would think it easier to start from scratch than to convert a vehicle.
