it comes from the Latin word 'gully' and it means you'd be happier living in, say, the LA valley area or an area of equally low pressure...believe me, i know.

Well the definition is actually a derivative of the latin word gullib meaning seeker of wonder. The television show Gilligans island was actually going to be called Gullibles island until the producers decided to have a female play the lead role and call it Jillian's Island but later changed it to Gilligan's Island after only one episode. If you believed any of the things I just said well then you are gullible.

when you can let people talk you into doing anything or someone tells you something and because you know this person or persons belive what they say as the gospel.that is being gullible because you are not thinking for yourself

I'd have to say the christian right in their support of the republican party would be the best example of gullible I can think of.
